Tatoos Pictures

Tatoos Pictures
I have had some interesting conversations with my clients regarding what to do about tatoos and other marks, especially with regard to their wedding photographs. Here are some perspectives you may find helpful:

Tatoos are obviously very personal, as are hairstyles and makeup applications. Even so, their presence, especially if prominent,  may be considered a distraction.  Or not.  It is really a personal choice and I believe my clients have earned the right to decide for themselves what is appropriate.

Other marks (bruises, pimples,  bites, etc.) which have nothing to do with a person’s character can also be distracting. Flareups from roseacea can also be problematic.

What are the options?

One is to do nothing (”This is who I am.”).

A second option is to have the tatoo or other mark covered with make-up. I have seen professional makeup artists work miracles, covering tatoos, blemishes and roseacea (nerves will do that), and even a bride’s 5-inch wide horse bite. This goes for the men, too.

A third option is to have the the images retouched as in this image comparison.
