Womens Health Issues

Womens Health Issues
Women and men have many of the same health problems, but they can affect women differently. For example, women may have different symptoms of heart disease. Some diseases or conditions are more common in women, such as osteoarthritis, obesity and depression. And some conditions, such as menopause and pregnancy, are unique to women.

Women sometimes neglect their own health and focus instead on their partner's and their children's. Take care of yourself first: Do you know that as women, we all need to have certain medical tests and health screenings throughout our lives? Find out what tests and screenings you need to staThe likelihood of an ectopic pregnancy varied according to the method of sterilization and the age at which the women underwent the sterilization procedures.Part of the problem lies in their being illiterate, and at the bottom of the healthy health chain. Social taboos, constricted mind set and lack of health facilities, still sticking to the methods of their grandmothers, and all at the cost of their health.

In this age of advanced technology, 99.99% of the women suffer from complications after child birth. According to findings, the above mentioned percentage of women suffering from incontinence after child birth has resulted in, them being shunned by all members of the family, and notably the husband. Shunning these unfortunate women is the easiest thing to do. After all, how long does it take to hold your nose to ward off the smell of urine? OK so admit it things went wrong at the time of delivery, but there are doctors who can help to put the hapless woman out of her misery, provided the elders and the men in the family want to help her.

Incontinence through no fault of hers can be remedied, but getting to the rural women is a major part of the problem. Convincing them is not the major hurdle it is convincing the head of the family, coupled with poverty that is the distressing factor. These unfortunate women are treated worse than the livestock that they help to tend. It is embarrassing for them to be in this state, and there is no one to turn to. More often than not they are sent home. Women in this condition cannot say their prayers, they cannot socialize and their husbands don’t come near them.

Solution? Make use of the Lady Health visitors to educate and guide them. These LHV’s can monitor the health of the women who make up at least 51% of the population. Women living in the urban areas don’t have it so bad. They seek help, have family that is understanding, and have the means to do so.

But incontinence is not the only problem. The female population is malnourished, they are anemic, and are the last ones to go to a doctor. It is only when matters come to a head are they taken to the doctor. There are efforts being made to enlighten villages on safe guarding the health of women and children, but it is a slow process. Consequently because of the social status given to them the problem is compounded, it is not just the status it is a medical problem also. Female mortality rate is at an all time high, because of the stigma attached to the fairer sex.y healthy.
